Tech/M.E with consistently good academic record OR B.Tech/B.E with 70% or 7.5 CGPA with valid GATE Score (very good) and consistently good academic record in the relevant field. PhD (Science) 1st class in M.Sc. / M. Tech with consistently good academic record (equivalent CGPA) and valid GATE/NET CSIR/UGC score in the relevant field. ELIGIBILITY 

The candidates for Ph.D. Programme may be offered admission, based on certain minimum 
academic requirements to be satisfied by the candidates as given below: 
1) Engineering and Technology: Master Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent in an 
appropriate area with a minimum CPI equivalent to 60% of marks as per conversion formula 
prescribed by the University/Institute. 
OR 
Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Technology with an excellent academic record and with a CPI 
equivalent to 70% of marks as per conversion formula prescribed by the University/Institute. 
Those Candidates who qualify GATE will be given preference. 
2) Sciences (Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics): Master Degree in Science in an appropriate 
area with a minimum CPI equivalent to 60% of marks as per conversion formula prescribed by 
the University/Institute. 
Those Candidates who qualify GATE/UGC-NET will be given preference.

APPLICATION CHECKLIST 
 The completed application form must be accompanied by the following documents:
i) Photocopy of marks sheet/Grade card of the secondary, higher secondary board and other 
university examinations. 
ii) Photocopy of proof of date of birth. 
iii) Photocopy of proper category(OBC/SC/ST/PH etc.) certificate from the competent authority. 
iv) Form I/II/III/IV. 
v) Four passport size photographs. 
 
SELECTION PROCEDURE 
The admission to Ph.D. Programme will be on the basis of weightage as given below: 
 Overall academic performance (to be fixed by the PhD Admission Committee): 70% 
 Interview conducted by the Department : 30%
